Ceiling of Ambience Mall Collapses in Vasant Kunj, No Injuries Reported

A portion of the concrete roof collapsed at Ambience Mall in Vasant Kunj, Delhi. In the early hours of Monday, a side pop elevation in the central hall of the mall collapsed where escalators are located. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries from the incident.

The police reported that the incident occurred at around 12.47 am, and investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the collapse. The mall was closed on Monday for maintenance purposes following the incident.

This incident follows a similar one in Noida Extension where two individuals lost their lives after an iron grille fell on them from the fifth floor of a shopping mall. Safety concerns have been raised regarding the maintenance of these commercial spaces.
