Chad Gable Luchador Money In The Bank

Bakersfield, California – Chad Gable may have lost his qualifying match earlier today, but his Luchador alter ego, El Grande Americano, still has a shot at glory in the Money in the Bank ladder match. Speculation within WWE hinted that El Grande Americano could win the briefcase and eventually cash in for the AAA title if Gable had faltered against Vikingo.

Fightful reported that while the angle involving El Grande Americano was humorous, it was not part of WWE’s current plans. Despite Gable losing to Penta in a match that also featured Dragon Lee, his alter ego triumphed over AJ Styles and CM Punk on the June 2 episode of “WWE Raw,” qualifying for the ladder match.

El Grande Americano is a champion in his own right, holding the WWE Speed Championship, which he obtained from Dragon Lee on May 7. This adds further excitement to his upcoming match as fans anticipate his performance in the highly competitive event.

In a related event on June 6, 2025, WWE hosted an episode of Friday Night SmackDown at the Dignity Health Arena in Bakersfield. The show featured a compelling main event where Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, and Stephanie Vaquer faced off against Naomi, Roxanne Perez, and Giulia.

The segment included a vignette of Aleister Black, who stated he would shake LA Knight‘s hand if Knight could defeat him in their match. However, their confrontation ended in a disqualification, allowing Knight to keep his momentum ahead of the ladder match.

Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce announced the commencement of the King & Queen of The Ring tournament, scheduled to begin next week, culminating in the finals at Night of Champions.

American Made, consisting of Gable and the Creed brothers, was interviewed by Byron Saxton but faced ridicule from Andrade and Penta for Gable’s aspirations for the AAA Mega Title. Later, Tiffany Stratton emphasized her dominance as WWE Women’s Champion, while Ripley countered, asserting her past success as a champion. A trios match concluded with Ripley and her team achieving victory.

As the show progressed, several promos highlighted rising tensions and storylines, culminating in a dramatic finale featuring John Cena and Logan Paul attacking Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. Cena declared he would remain the last WWE Champion while Logan Paul aims for the World Heavyweight title.

These developments keep the anticipation high for tomorrow’s Money in the Bank event, with El Grande Americano and many others vying for a shot at wrestling glory.
