Cheryl Cole Named Administrator of Liam Payne’s $32.2 Million Estate

Buenos Aires, Argentina – Cheryl Cole has been appointed as the administrator of Liam Payne’s estate, valued at $32.2 million, following his untimely death at age 31. Payne passed away on October 16, 2024, after a tragic fall from a hotel balcony.
The singer, known for his time with One Direction, left behind an eight-year-old son, Bear, whom he shared with Cole. On May 1, court documents revealed that Cole, along with attorney Richard Mark Bray, will oversee the estate’s management, as he died without a will.
According to reports, the gross value of Payne’s estate is around $38 million, while the net value sits at about $32.2 million. Although they will manage the funds, Cole and Bray currently have limited authority and cannot distribute any assets. Typically, under UK law, children inherit in cases where a parent dies without a will.
Payne’s sudden death shocked fans and the music industry, prompting numerous tributes from around the world. His funeral took place in Buckinghamshire in November 2024, attended by close friends and family members.
In December, five individuals faced charges related to his death. An official ruling determined that suicide was not a factor; instead, drug use contributed to the circumstances surrounding his fall.
In a heartfelt statement on Instagram, Cole expressed the profound impact of Payne’s loss, emphasizing he was not only a pop star but a father and friend. “Liam was a son, a brother, an uncle, a dear friend, and a father to our son, who has to face the reality of never seeing his dad again,” she wrote.
