Christian Braun, the 22-year-old forward for the Denver Nuggets, has been making significant contributions to the team, although his role has seen some adjustments. Recently, Braun has been operating in a second unit role, particularly with Aaron Gordon‘s return from a foot injury. On Wednesday, Gordon started, pushing Braun to the bench.

In terms of his performance, Braun is projected to continue his steady output. For the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on November 1, Braun is projected to score 10.3 points, grab 5.0 rebounds, and make 1.2 three-point shots. These projections are influenced by the Nuggets’ playing style, which includes a relatively slow pace of play and fewer three-point attempts when away from home.

This season, Braun has been averaging 14 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game, with impressive shooting splits of 54% from the field, 36% from three-point range, and 83% from the free-throw line. He has scored double-digit points in all his games so far this season.

Off the court, Braun was recently involved in a minor controversy when rumors surfaced that Russell Westbrook had asked him for his No. 0 jersey. However, Westbrook quickly denied these rumors on social media, stating that he had chosen a new number to mark a new chapter in his career.

Braun’s value to the Nuggets is also highlighted by trade discussions. There have been reports that the Nuggets are reluctant to include Braun, along with other young players like Peyton Watson and Julian Strawther, in potential trades, such as one for Paul George.
