Christmas 2025 Travel Weather Forecast

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Southern Christmas Show will take place from Nov. 13-23 at the Park Expo and Conference Center, bringing festive cheer to the region. As holiday travelers prepare for one of the busiest seasons, the Christmas 2025 travel weather forecast indicates a mix of conditions across the U.S. and Canada.

Forecasters are predicting snowy and rainy weather in many areas, particularly in the Northeast and Upper Midwest. Snow is expected to make travel challenging in states like Ohio and regions of Alaska, increasing the chances of a white Christmas.

According to the forecast, most of Canada will also experience snowy conditions, with significant snowfall anticipated in Quebec, Ontario, and the northern Prairies. “Wet conditions and the chance of snow could impact travel across these areas,” a forecaster noted.

In the Pacific Northwest, rain and snow showers are predicted, while much of the Southeast, Atlantic Corridor, and areas in Texas can expect sunny skies and smooth travel. “It’s important for travelers to monitor weather conditions leading up to the holiday,” the forecast advises.

The Christmas week forecast shows varied conditions:

  • Northeast: Very cold with snow showers; travelers should allow extra time.
  • Southeast: Mild and sunny; ideal driving conditions.
  • Appalachians: Starting with sunny skies, transitioning to snowy conditions closer to Christmas.
  • Canada: Bitter cold expected in Atlantic regions, while southern areas may experience milder, snowier conditions.

The upcoming weather conditions signal that while many travelers may enjoy picturesque winter landscapes, they should be prepared for potentially slippery roads and delays. “Travelers in snow-prone areas should pack patience and necessary tools for winter driving,” officials urge.
