Los Angeles Clippers Game Victory March 2025

INGLEWOOD, Calif. — The Los Angeles Clippers secured a decisive victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, winning 128-108 on March 21, 2025, at the Intuit Dome. This win marked the Clippers’ fifth consecutive triumph, improving their record to 40-30 for the season.

James Harden spearheaded the Clippers’ offense with 30 points and nine assists. Kawhi Leonard supported with 23 points and ten rebounds, showcasing the team’s depth. Ivica Zubac and Bogdan Bogdanovic also made significant contributions, adding 17 and 16 points, respectively. The victory was even more impressive considering head coach Tyronn Lue missed the game due to back discomfort. Assistant coach Brian Shaw stepped in, effectively directing the team throughout the match.

Los Angeles extended its home winning streak to eight games with Tuesday’s win. The game’s momentum shifted in the second half, particularly during a third-quarter surge where the Clippers outscored the Grizzlies 36-16 after trailing at halftime.

The Grizzlies entered the break leading 66-60, largely due to their ability to capitalize on the Clippers’ turnovers, scoring 21 points off mistakes. Jaren Jackson Jr. led Memphis with 23 points, while Santi Aldama added 16. However, the absence of star guard Ja Morant, who remained sidelined due to shoulder and hamstring injuries, was felt again as the team struggled to maintain their advantage.

Memphis attempted to regroup but faltered in the third quarter. Harden was particularly effective in this period, scoring 12 points and enabling the Clippers to take an 82-71 lead by the end of the quarter. Desmond Bane returned to action for the Grizzlies, contributing ten points, but it wasn’t enough to stop the Clippers’ momentum.

Despite the return of rookie center Edey, who had been a starter earlier in the season but came off the bench for this game, his impact was limited. He managed only eight points in less than 17 minutes, facing challenges in seizing scoring opportunities. His performance highlighted the Grizzlies’ need for improvement as they navigate without their key playmaker, Morant.

Harden reflected on the team’s performance postgame, emphasizing the need to maintain momentum as playoffs approach. ‘We got to know how to play together and how to use each other’s strengths,’ he stated, underlining the team’s focus going forward.

Despite the loss, Memphis remains in fifth place in the Western Conference standings, with time to regroup prior to the playoffs. As the regular season progresses, both the Clippers and Grizzlies are keen to solidify their playoff positions, with Los Angeles aiming to extend its winning streak and Memphis seeking to bounce back during a challenging five-game road trip.
