Comcast Offers Free Sunday Night Soccer to Xfinity Customers

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Starting May 18, Xfinity customers will have free access to every Major League Soccer (MLS) game through Comcast‘s new initiative. This new offering comes as part of a partnership between Comcast and Apple to promote the MLS Season Pass.
Vito Forlenza, Vice President of Sports Entertainment at Comcast, said, “Since we kicked off our partnership with Apple and MLS earlier this year, we’ve seen a great response from customers.” The access includes viewing of all MLS games with no blackouts, alongside detailed analysis and exclusive content for subscribers.
The Sunday Night Soccer series will go live just in time for the anticipated Rivalry Week, featuring a double header with Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami CF facing Orlando City SC, followed by the LA Galaxy against LAFC.
Customers can find Sunday Night Soccer matches in the Xfinity channel guide or simply say “MLS” into their X1 voice remote. All matches will be available in both English and Spanish, providing a diverse viewing experience for fans.
Xfinity’s move represents the extension of previously existing free access from Apple TV+ subscribers to include Xfinity X1 and Xfinity Stream users as well. This season will highlight enhanced production values and expanded studio programming aimed at enriching the overall viewing experience.
For additional content, Xfinity customers will also have free access to MLS 360, a show offering live updates on ongoing matches. The service indicates its commitment to growing soccer’s popularity in the U.S.
Comcast’s partnership with Apple, which began earlier this year, aims to increase viewership for MLS games as soccer continues to grow in popularity in America.
