Concacaf Reveals Details for 2026 World Cup Qualifiers Final Round

Miami, FL — Concacaf has announced important details about the Third and Final Round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The draw is set for Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. ET, and fans can watch it live on various platforms.
The Final Round will include 12 teams, comprised of the winners and runners-up from each Second Round group. These teams include Bermuda, Costa Rica, Curacao, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panama, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago. They will be divided into three groups of four teams each.
Matches will take place during the FIFA Match Windows in September, October, and November 2025. Each team will compete against the other teams in their group both home and away, totaling six matches. The three group winners will qualify directly for the FIFA World Cup in 2026, while the two best second-place teams will enter the FIFA Play-Off Tournament in March 2026.
Historically, the 2026 World Cup could see as many as eight teams from the Concacaf region participate. The draw process will separate the teams into four pots based on the FIFA Men’s National Team Rankings of June 2025.
The official draw will start with Pot 1, which includes the three highest-ranked teams: Panama, Costa Rica, and Jamaica. The process will continue with Pots 2, 3, and 4, ensuring each group has a diverse mix of teams.
The journey to the 2026 FIFA World Cup began in March 2024, with the opening stage featuring the lowest-ranked teams. Following competitive matchups, the British Virgin Islands and Anguilla emerged victorious, advancing to the next phase. The Second Round concluded this week, with 12 teams now moving on to the Final Round.
