Costa Titch’s Autopsy Results Bring Closure to His Mother After Tragic Death

Over a year after the tragic death of South African rapper Costa Titch, his mother Lara Langeveld has finally received closure as the autopsy results shed light on the circumstances surrounding his sudden passing.

Costa Titch, aged 28, collapsed while performing at the Ultra Music Festival held at the Expo Centre in Johannesburg on March 11, 2023.

The autopsy report, shared by the family, revealed that Costa Titch had a ‘significant strain on his heart, exacerbated by enduring stress and fatigue’, which may have led to an irregular heartbeat, triggering the fatal seizure that claimed his life.

The autopsy results dispelled previous speculations about drugs, poison, or epilepsy as the cause of Costa’s death.

Lara Langeveld, the grieving mother, expressed her relief at finally understanding the cause of her son’s untimely death and addressing the misconceptions that surrounded it.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Lara highlighted the importance of clarifying her son’s legacy, especially in the face of public assumptions about drug use based on his appearance as a musician.

The mother remembered her son as someone who strongly opposed drug use and was passionate about his music. She sought answers not only for her own closure but to set the record straight about Costa Titch’s character and values.

Lara Langeveld raised concerns regarding the delay in Costa’s transportation to the hospital after his collapse at the music festival and questioned the decision-making process during that critical time.

She pondered the reasons behind transferring him between medical tents at the event instead of directly taking him to nearby medical facilities like Milpark and Baragwanath hospitals.

Lara attributed her son’s extensive travel schedule, which included visits to 25 countries within a year, as a contributing factor to his health struggles, although she acknowledged that he was pursuing his passion until the end.

The autopsy results brought some closure to Lara Langeveld, as they dispelled the rumors surrounding Costa Titch’s death and affirmed his commitment to music and his aversion to drug use.
