Cowboys Activate Malik Davis, Jaydon Blue Inactive for Cardinals Game
ARLINGTON, Texas (Nov. 3, 2025) — The Dallas Cowboys have activated running back Malik Davis for their game against the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night. In a surprising move, fellow running back Jaydon Blue will not be playing due to a coach’s decision.
Davis was promoted from the practice squad earlier Monday. He will join Hunter Luepke as the backup options behind starter Javonte Williams. The decision to inactive Blue comes after he lost a fumble in the Cowboys’ Week 8 loss to the Denver Broncos, indicating performance concerns.
This season, Davis has had limited opportunities, recording only two carries for three yards across his previous appearances. Despite being activated, he is not expected to significantly impact Williams’ workload in Week 9.
The Cowboys will look to improve their running game against the Cardinals as they aim to remain competitive in the NFC standings.
