Carabao Cup Draw 2024

Crystal Palace has secured a place in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup for the first time in six seasons by defeating Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road. This advancement places them among the final 16 teams, and their next opponents will be revealed tonight.

The draw, scheduled for tonight, September 25th, will take place live on Sky Sports. It follows the conclusion of the third-round match between Liverpool and West Ham United, with an expected start time of 22:15 BST, provided there are no penalties extending the match’s duration.

This season, due to the altered format of UEFA club competitions, the Carabao Cup’s third-round ties are spread over two weeks. As a result, Crystal Palace’s draw will occur a week after their victory.

The fourth-round fixtures are slated for the week beginning Monday, October 28th. Matches that end level after 90 minutes will proceed directly to a penalty shoot-out, with extra-time being reserved solely for the semi-final stage of the competition.

Currently, nine teams, including Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Manchester United, Crystal Palace, Preston, Sheffield Wednesday, Southampton, Stoke City, and Tottenham Hotspur, have made it to the fourth round. Chelsea, Leicester City, and Manchester City joined them on Tuesday night, while Arsenal, Bolton, Liverpool, and West Ham are in contention today.

Moreover, Newcastle United and AFC Wimbledon are awaiting their chance, pending the rescheduling of their postponed match.
