Crystal Palace Plans Victory Parade After FA Cup Triumph

London, England – Crystal Palace Football Club has announced plans for a day of celebrations following their historic FA Cup victory, the first major trophy in the club’s history. The festivities are set for Bank Holiday Monday, May 26.
The celebration will kick off with an open-top bus parade starting at 1:00 PM BST from Whitehorse Lane and will wind down towards Selhurst Park, lasting approximately 45 minutes. Fans are invited to join in without the need for tickets during the parade.
After the parade, a ticketed event dubbed ‘party on the pitch’ will take place at Selhurst Park starting at 2:30 PM. Although tickets are free, fans must secure them in advance. Season-ticket holders and club members will have access to reserve tickets first. Afterwards, remaining tickets will be available for the general public online starting at 5:00 PM on Friday.
The event will feature live entertainment, special guests, and end-of-season awards, according to the club’s official announcement. Food and drink will also be on sale within the stadium.
However, some fans expressed frustration with the planned route for the parade after Bromley Council intervened, preventing them from using Crystal Palace Park. Critics voiced their dissatisfaction on social media, describing it as a missed opportunity to celebrate the club’s achievement in a more suitable location.
Despite the controversy, the club remains excited about the celebrations and the chance for fans to experience their first major trophy lift in years. Manager Oliver Glasner emphasized the importance of focusing on team improvement, even as they prepare for a potential European competition next season.
“It makes just no sense thinking and talking about the Europa League. My only thoughts are how we can improve our game,” Glasner stated.
The celebrations mark a significant moment in the club’s history as they hope to inspire South London fans.
