Daisy Edgar-Jones Open to Returning to ‘Normal People’ Role in Future Installments
Following the tremendous success of the hit romantic drama series ‘Normal People,’ actress Daisy Edgar-Jones has expressed her enthusiasm about potentially revisiting her role in the future.
In ‘Normal People,’ Edgar-Jones portrayed the character Marianne Sheridan, while Paul Mescal starred as her love interest, Connell Waldron, based on the novel by Irish author Sally Rooney.
Speaking about the possibility of a second season, Edgar-Jones mentioned that the decision ultimately lies with Sally Rooney. She indicated her openness to reprising the role, remarking that she loves the characters and it would be marvelous to further explore them.
The series made a significant impact during the lockdown period and propelled both Edgar-Jones and Mescal to international stardom. Edgar-Jones expressed gratitude for the doors that ‘Normal People’ opened for her in the industry, introducing her and Mescal to a wider audience and filmmakers.
Since her breakout role, Edgar-Jones has ventured into the film industry, featuring in projects like ‘Where The Crawdads Sing’ and the upcoming blockbuster ‘Twisters’ alongside Glen Powell.
