Dana White Plans Massive Celebration for UFC 300
Dana White, the president of UFC, is planning a huge event for the upcoming UFC 300. White took over the Ultimate Fighting Championship in 2001 after it was purchased by Nevada casino owners, Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta. He aimed to make MMA more fan-friendly and bring in the best fighters in the world. 15 years later, UFC has become the fastest-growing sport globally, with White now a CEO after merging with the WWE.
White’s previous event for UFC 100 and UFC 200 were both massive successes. The UFC 300 is set to take place in Las Vegas on April 13, following the Super Bowl. White promises to deliver an exceptional fight card, starting from the first bout. He vows that fans will be amazed by the lineup, even on the preliminary matches.
However, some MMA fans are skeptical about UFC 300 living up to the hype. Not many marketable stars are currently on the roster, which could dampen the event’s impact. Some feel that the UFC’s biggest star is its brand and Dana White himself. Nevertheless, White has a history of making big things happen against all odds, so it’s difficult to bet against him pulling off something remarkable for UFC 300.
