Danai Gurira Set to Premiere ‘Family Riots’ in Zimbabwe and Reprise Role in Black Panther
Hollywood actress Danai Gurira is gearing up for two significant projects. In collaboration with Almasi Collaborative Arts, Gurira is set to present ‘Family Riots,’ a play written by Gideon Jeph Wabvuta, at the National Gallery in Zimbabwe. This production marks a notable return to her roots, highlighting her commitment to promoting arts and culture in her home country.
In addition to her theatrical endeavors, Gurira is also preparing to reprise her role as Okoye, the former general of the Dora Milaje and head of the Wakandan armed forces, in the upcoming project ‘Black Panther: Eyes of Wakanda.’ This role, which she first debuted in 2018’s ‘Black Panther,’ continues her involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
