Dani Carvajal to Join Real Madrid at Club World Cup

Madrid, Spain — Dani Carvajal confirmed he will travel with Real Madrid to the Club World Cup in Miami, USA, as he nears the end of his recovery from injury. Speaking to the press, Carvajal, 33, stressed, “I feel good and am getting back into shape. I will continue training and will evaluate my readiness to compete at the World Cup.”
Carvajal also shared his excitement about the potential arrival of Xabi Alonso as the new head coach of Real Madrid. “It seems likely that Xabi Alonso will be joining us. I haven’t spoken to him yet,” Carvajal said. He emphasized Alonso’s deep connection to the club, noting, “He knows the house better than anyone. He has defended this shield for many years.”
The veteran defender acknowledged the pressure to win, stating, “We want this last title, and we will go for it with everything.” Carvajal expressed confidence in Alonso’s capability, saying, “He will do very well and comes after having two fantastic seasons with Bayer Leverkusen.”
When asked about competition from new signings like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Carvajal said, “There’s no fear here; we will be teammates. Competition improves us both and brings out our best versions.” He also addressed his feelings about Carlo Ancelotti‘s departure, stating, “I am very sad. He has been like a football father to me.”
