LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Actor Pete Davidson is currently in negotiations to co-star opposite Nicholas Hoult in an upcoming film produced by Amazon MGM Studios, directed by David Leitch. This film is expected to hit theaters, although a release date has yet to be announced.

Details about the plot remain largely undisclosed; however, Leitch’s reputation for creating thrilling experiences, as demonstrated in hits like Bullet Train, Deadpool 2, and more recently, The Fall Guy, has set high expectations for this project.

Kelly McCormick and David Leitch are producing the film alongside Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody, and Allan Mandelbaum from Imagine Entertainment and 87North Productions. The screenplay is being crafted by Mark Bianculli, who will also take on an executive producer role.

Davidson’s involvement comes after he wrapped production on The Pick Up for Amazon MGM, where he shares screen time with Keke Palmer and Eddie Murphy. Next, he will be featured in A24’s Wizards.

In 2023, Davidson starred in the semi-autobiographical comedy series Bupkis, which he co-created, co-wrote, and executive produced for Peacock. His other notable works include the critically acclaimed film The King of Staten Island, the Netflix special Pete Davidson: Turbo Fonzarelli, and features such as Bodies Bodies Bodies, The Suicide Squad, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, and Trainwreck.

Davidson gained recognition as a cast member on NBC’s Saturday Night Live from 2014 to 2022. He is represented by WME, Ayala Cohen Management, and attorney Josh Sandler at Granderson Des Rochers.
