Delaware County, Ohio, has concluded its voting for the 2024 general elections, with several key races and issues decided. In the presidential race, Donald Trump and his running mate, J.D. Vance, secured 55.13% of the vote, while Kamala Harris and Tim Walz garnered 42.82%.

At the state level, Mike Braun and Micah Beckwith won the governor and lieutenant governor race with 48.56% of the vote, narrowly edging out Democratic candidates Jennifer McCormick and Terry Goodin, who received 47.17%.

In the U.S. Senate race, Jim Banks (Republican) won with 55.23% of the vote, defeating Valerie McCray (Democrat) who secured 42.01%.

For the U.S. Representative in the 5th District, Victoria Spartz (Republican) won with 52.87% of the vote, beating Deborah A Pickett (Democrat) who got 41.76%.

Local races also saw significant outcomes. In the State Representative races, John (J.D.) Prescott (Republican) won District 33 with 69.73%, while Sue Errington (Democrat) won District 34 with 55.33%.

The county commissioner races saw Stephen Brand (Republican) winning District 1 with 56.41%, and Sherry K. Riggin (Republican) winning District 2 unopposed.

Voters also decided on several levies, including the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) levy, which aims to expand transit services and increase access to sidewalks and bikeways. However, the results of this specific levy were not immediately available in the latest updates.

The polls in Delaware County closed at 6:00 p.m., with voter turnout reported to be better than in the previous 15 years, according to poll workers).
