Delta Air Lines to Launch Nonstop Flights from Grand Rapids to Orlando

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR) will add nonstop flights to Orlando International Airport through Delta Air Lines starting in December 2025. This new service will complement existing flights offered by two other carriers at GRR.
The flights, operated on Delta’s Embraer ERJ-175, are scheduled for Saturdays. Tory Richardson, president and CEO of the Gerald R. Ford International Airport Authority, expressed excitement over the announcement. “We’re thrilled to welcome Delta Air Lines’ new nonstop service to Orlando,” she said. “Orlando has something for everyone, from world-class theme parks to a growing hub for conferences and business travel.”
Richardson also noted Delta’s continued investment in West Michigan, marking this as the airline’s fifth nonstop destination from GRR, joining existing routes to Atlanta, Detroit, New York, and Minneapolis-St. Paul. She added, “This is an exciting opportunity to offer our passengers even more nonstop options as they plan their journeys.”
The tickets for the new Orlando service will be available soon for purchase through Delta’s website. The airport, which served over 4 million passengers in 2024, is also undergoing a $600 million expansion project known as Elevate. This aims to accommodate increased passenger traffic and enhance airport facilities.
The Elevate project includes the recent completion of Concourse A, which added eight new gates to the airport. Upcoming enhancements involve expanding terminal space and developing a federal inspection station to facilitate future international flights.
With growing passenger counts and new service exits, Gerald R. Ford International Airport continues to adapt to travel demands while enhancing connectivity to popular destinations.
