Detroit Celebrates 313 Day with Food and Events on March 13

313 Day Celebrations In Detroit Restaurants

DETROIT – March 13 marks 313 Day, a day honoring Detroit‘s iconic area code, and several local restaurants are celebrating with special deals on food and drinks.

Among the highlights, Mezcal Mexican Restaurant in Midtown is offering house margaritas for just $3.13 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant, located at 51 West Forest Avenue, offers margaritas made with either mezcal or tequila.

In Downtown Detroit, Mootz Pizzeria + Bar will sell pizza slices at their Slice House for $3.13 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. This promotion is valid for carryout only, with a limit of two slices per customer. Mootz is located at 1230 Library Street.

Atwater Brewery, located along the Detroit Riverfront, is also joining the celebration with $3.13 pints available at their taphouse at 237 Joseph Campau. They will feature special food deals on March 13 as well.

Additional festivities on 313 Day include the Detroit Pistons home game against the Washington Wizards, featuring a pre-game celebration in Chevy Plaza. The first 3,130 fans will receive a special Pistons 313 Day chain, while the first 15,000 fans will receive a light-up bracelet. The event will also feature a halftime performance and exclusive merchandise at the Pistons team shop.

The Detroit Historical Museum is marking 313 Day with free admission from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitors can enjoy programs recognizing Women’s History Month, including a presentation by Karlyta Williams and a discussion on influential women in Detroit.

Eastern Market Brewing Company will also celebrate the day with $3.13 glasses of their 313 IPA, further contributing to the local festivities.

For those interested in the arts, the Detroit Artist Market will host events at Detroit Shipping Company, showcasing local talent and creativity throughout the day.

Baker’s Keyboard Lounge will celebrate 313 Day in conjunction with the Mom’s In Business International Business Network from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., featuring community storytelling and discussions.

Furthermore, Meijer Rivertown Market on Jefferson Avenue is transforming into a hub of local vendors, live music from SimpleCuts313, and interactive experiences including vinyl digging sessions.

March 14, the day following 313 Day, will be celebrated as Pi Day, with various pizza and pie establishments around the city also offering special deals.
