Diddy Accused of Mistreating Kim Porter in Explosive Docuseries

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Sean “Diddy” Combs is accused of mistreating his late former partner Kim Porter in a new docuseries, “The Fall of Diddy,” which premiered Monday, Jan. 27, on Investigation Discovery. The series also delves into the sexual misconduct allegations the music mogul is currently facing.
Danyel Smith, former editor-in-chief of Vibe magazine, makes the claim in the docuseries, alleging she witnessed Combs act “awful and very mean” toward Porter. In an exclusive clip, Smith recalls a nightclub incident where Combs allegedly berated Porter and emptied her handbag in public. “He just started hollering at her that she should be at home, not out,” Smith said. “Then he grabbed her handbag and literally turned it upside down.”
Porter, who passed away in 2018, shared three children with Combs: Christian Combs and twins Jessie James Combs and D’Lila Combs. Quincy Brown, Porter’s son with R&B singer Al B. Sure!, was also adopted by Combs at age 3.
Combs’ attorneys have strongly denied the allegations, calling the docuseries a “one-sided and prejudicial narrative.” In a statement to PEOPLE, they said, “These documentaries are rushing to cash in on the media circus surrounding Mr. Combs. The producers failed to provide sufficient time or details for his representatives to address unsubstantiated claims.”
Combs is currently in jail awaiting trial on federal charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution, following a September 2024 indictment. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
“The Fall of Diddy” also features interviews with D. Woods, a former member of Danity Kane, and several of Combs’ former employees and accusers. The two-part series aired on Investigation Discovery and is available for streaming on Max.
