Dierks Bentley Broken Branches Tour

AUSTIN, TexasDierks Bentley began his highly anticipated 30-city Broken Branches Tour on May 29 at the Moody Center in Austin. The tour supports his upcoming album, BROKEN BRANCHES, set to release on June 13.

Bentley opened the concert with the energetic song “Well Well Whiskey,” captivating the audience right from the start. His setlist featured popular hits spanning his two-decade career, including “Drunk on a Plane,” “5-1-5-0,” and “Somewhere on a Beach.” He also showcased emotional songs like “I Hold On” and “Riser,” connecting deeply with fans in attendance.

New music was a highlight of the night. Fans got a sneak peek of the album with the debut of “She Hates Me.” The concert also featured engaging mashups, such as “Free and Easy” combined with Alabama’s “Mountain Music.” Bentley surprised the audience with collaborations, including a performance of “Bad Angel” with GRAMMY winners Jon Randall and Jessi Alexander.

Zach Top, the opening act, warmed up the crowd with performances of classics like Merle Haggard’s “Ramblin’ Fever” and George Strait’s “Amarillo by Morning.” His original songs, including “Beer for Breakfast” and “Cold Beer & Country Music,” received cheers from the audience. Top even joined Bentley and The Band Loula for a rendition of “Get Down On Your Knees.”

Bentley expressed his excitement for the tour, stating, “I’m 20(ish) years into doing this, and I’ve seriously never been more excited about a tour.” He added that Top shares his passion for traditional country music.

In addition to the music, Bentley also launched the Broken Branches Fund, partnering with Music Health Alliance to support mental health resources for music industry professionals. The tour promises to continue bringing joy and heartfelt performances to fans across the country.
