Directors Discuss New Dark Comedy and Drone Advances

LOS ANGELES, CA — GG Hawkins recently invited writer-director duo David Joseph Craig and Brian Crano on the No Film School Podcast to discuss their latest film, a dark comedy starring Nick Kroll and Andrew Rannells. Set during a chaotic babymoon in Italy, the film showcases the highs and lows of a couple’s journey.
During the podcast, Craig and Crano opened up about fictionalizing their own adoption journey within the screenplay. They discussed how balancing their roles as both collaborators and a married couple impacted their creative process.
“It’s a wild ride for the characters, which reflects our own trials and tribulations, but ultimately it’s about love and resilience,” said Crano. The filmmakers also addressed their experiences navigating international co-productions.
In another segment, DJI announced their latest enterprise drone, the Matrice 400, which aims to address various sectors like emergency response and mapping. Although the DJI Mavic 4 Pro remains unavailable in U.S. markets due to tariffs and regulatory issues, the Matrice 400 showcases advanced features such as O4 Enterprise Enhanced Video Transmission.
The Matrice 400 boasts impressive flight capabilities, offering up to 59 minutes of flight time even under load. It is engineered to handle challenging environments, with a robust design that maintains efficiency in diverse weather conditions. The drone’s payload capacity and configurable options aim to meet various enterprise needs.
As both projects come to fruition, anticipation grows among filmmakers and drone users alike, blending innovative storytelling with advanced technology.
