Dolly Parton Health Update

Nashville, TN – Dolly Parton reassured her fans about her health on Wednesday in a video shared on social media. The beloved 79-year-old singer addressed concerns over her health following her recent absence from scheduled performances.

“Do I look sick to you? I’m working hard here!” Parton said, aiming to calm the worries expressed by her supporters. She filmed the video on October 8 while working on commercials.

Parton acknowledged that she has been facing some health challenges, prompting her to cancel certain engagements to focus on her well-being. “I want to put everybody’s mind at ease, those of you that seem to be real concerned,” she added, stating that she is “OK” but undergoing some treatments.

She mentioned that these health issues stemmed from neglecting her health after the passing of her husband in March. “I didn’t take care of myself, so I let a lot of things go that should’ve been taken care of,” Parton explained.

Parton reassured fans that her health problems are minor and that she is committed to returning to the stage soon. She revealed that she is receiving treatment at Vanderbilt University, noting, “I just need a little time to get show ready.”

Her sister, Freida Parton, had recently posted on Facebook urging fans to pray for Dolly, causing a stir of concern. In response, Dolly expressed gratitude for the prayers and emphasized her belief in the power of prayer.

Parton concluded her video with an optimistic message: “I don’t think God is through with me, and I ain’t done working.” Fans and supporters are eagerly looking forward to her return to the stage and wish her a speedy recovery.
