Dominion Energy Seeks Proposals for Renewable Projects in Virginia and North Carolina

Richmond, Virginia – Dominion Energy Virginia (DEV) and Dominion Energy North Carolina (DENC) have announced their annual Request for Proposals (RFPs) for new renewable energy projects. The companies are seeking proposals for solar, onshore wind, and energy storage initiatives to support customer energy needs in both states.
The RFP aims to enhance local job growth, increase spending in regional communities, and generate new tax revenue for local governments. Proposals can be submitted in five categories, with a focus on solar projects that are either utility-scale (greater than 3 MW) or distributed projects (3 MW or less).
Projects must be located within the service territories of DEV or DENC. For distributed projects, there must be location grid benefits to Dominion Energy’s customers. The companies are also encouraging submissions from projects on previously developed sites, such as former landfills or industrial areas.
Interested bidders must register by submitting an Intent to Bid Form along with an executed Confidentiality Agreement (CA) by January 20, 2026. Additional information regarding the RFP is available on the Dominion Energy website.
The deadline for submitting proposals is February 9, 2026. Dominion Energy is committed to ensuring that the proposed projects align with the energy needs of its customers in Virginia and North Carolina.
