Dreamville Fest Returns to Raleigh With New Exciting Iteration

RALEIGH, N.C. — Despite initial reports hinting at its conclusion, the beloved Dreamville Fest will continue, albeit in a new form. Festival organizers made the announcement on April 3, promising fans that the festival will be back for at least four more years.
Sascha Stone Guttfreund, a producer with Live Nation and Dreamville Fest, expressed enthusiasm during a press conference, stating, “We’re going to be here for years to come. This is a multi-year deal, and we’re thrilled to partner with the city of Raleigh to create something new and exciting while continuing the legacy we’ve built.”
Raleigh City Manager Marchell Adams-David echoed Guttfreund’s sentiments, emphasizing the festival’s commitment to its hip-hop roots. “Our consumers have told us what they value, and we’re committed to preserving the vibrancy and energy they love,” she said. The event will continue to be hosted at Dorothea Dix Park, ensuring a consistent venue for attendees.
Adams-David ensured that J. Cole, the festival’s co-founder and a Fayetteville native, will remain involved in shaping its future. “Whether or not he headlines, J. Cole’s commitment to the community and this festival is unwavering,” she stated, reinforcing his local ties.
J. Cole’s manager, Ibrahim “Ib” Hamad, highlighted the importance of maintaining the festival’s familial atmosphere. “We want it to feel like a family reunion,” he said. “People come from all 50 states and different countries, and it’s special to create that sense of unity right here in North Carolina.”
The announcement reassured fans who were concerned that this weekend’s festival might be the last. With the fifth and final iteration of the previous festival already in full swing, attendees can look forward to a new chapter for Dreamville Fest.
As part of the evolving narrative, the commitment to hip-hop will remain central to the festival’s identity. Organizers aim to innovate while honoring the roots that have made Dreamville Fest a staple in the music scene.
This year’s festival promises to be a memorable celebration of community, culture, and music, with the groundwork laid for future expansions and experiences. The festival’s evolution reflects its commitment to both fans and the local community, ensuring that it remains a significant event for years to come.
