Dua Lipa Melbourne Concert Rod Laver Arena

Melbourne, Australia — Singer Dua Lipa kicked off the second half of her world tour on March 17, 2025, at the Rod Laver Arena, captivating fans with a tribute to an iconic Australian band. Lipa delivered a powerful rendition of their classic song, prompting an enthusiastic sing-along from the audience as they belted out, “I’m on a highway to hell.”

This performance marks Lipa’s first of eight shows in Australia, part of her larger tour that also includes upcoming dates in New Zealand, Spain, and France. She will arrive in the U.S. for a two-night engagement in Chicago, starting on September 5, before concluding the tour in Seattle on October 16.

Her latest album, “Radical Optimism,” which was released in May 2024, showcases a shift from her previous disco era embodied in 2022’s “Future Nostalgia.” While creating “Radical Optimism,” Lipa explored various childhood influences, including Brit-pop bands and collaborated with Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker on several singles such as “Houdini,” “Training Season,” and “Illusion.”

Additionally, in December, Lipa released a 20-track live album commemorating a one-night-only performance at the historic venue. The album highlights her versatility as an artist and the connection she shares with her audience.

Recently, Lipa appeared in a music video alongside Jennie from K-pop group Blackpink, bringing an exciting visual element to the collaboration. The video, described as a technicolor dreamscape, captures the essence of falling in love.
