DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Duke‘s freshman sensation Cooper Flagg led the Blue Devils to a decisive 93-60 victory over Wake Forest on Monday night, pushing his team one step closer to the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season title.

With 28 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, three blocks, and two steals, Flagg showcased his versatility and talent at Cameron Indoor Stadium, potentially for the last time. The 6-foot-9 player has been a focal point of Duke’s success and a likely candidate in the upcoming NBA draft.

“One more year! One more year!” chanted the ecstatic crowd of “Cameron Crazies” as Flagg exited the game with just over three minutes left on the clock. Reflecting on the night, Flagg remained focused on the present. “I’m living in the moment, taking it day by day. I don’t know what the future holds,” he said.

The victory allowed Duke (23-5, 14-4 ACC) to clinch at least a share of the conference title, demonstrating their dominance as the season enters its final stretch. After leading by 13 points at halftime, Flagg erupted for 18 points in the second half, firmly securing the win and thrilling fans with spectacular plays.

Flagg’s prowess on the court includes a reliable 3-point shot and impressive transition game. One standout moment came during the game when he crossed over Wake Forest’s Cam Hildreth, driving to the basket for a powerful two-handed dunk, igniting cheers from the crowd.

Coach Jon Scheyer praised Flagg’s all-around game, stating, “The talent speaks for itself. I love coaching his talent, but I love coaching the person. He’s all about the right stuff.” Flagg’s contributions have been key to Duke’s aspirations as March Madness approaches.

Reflecting on his time at Duke, he said, “This is the best place in college basketball for sure. I’ve loved every single minute of being here. It’s been an amazing year.” As the possibility of Flagg leaving for the NBA looms, his impact on the program remains unmistakable.
