Early Snowfall Western United States

The first snowfall of the season has transformed parts of the western United States into picturesque winter scenes, as flurries blanketed roads and mountains. The snowfall began early on Saturday and is expected to continue across the Rocky Mountains throughout the weekend, bringing one to two inches of snow in areas south of Interstate 70.

The snowfall prompted warnings from authorities, who urged drivers to prepare for wintry conditions, particularly in mountain passes. In addition to snow, meteorologists warned of patchy fog possible south of Denver along Interstate 25 during the morning hours. Meanwhile, isolated rain showers could occur along the Palmer Divide and in Lincoln County later in the afternoon.

According to the Loveland Reporter-Herald, there is a 20% chance of rain before 10 a.m. on Saturday, followed by mostly cloudy skies with a high of 58 degrees Fahrenheit and an overnight low of 44 degrees Fahrenheit. At higher elevations, light snow is projected to continue from Sunday through Monday, with the possibility of showers and thunderstorms occurring west of Interstate 25 and south of Interstate 70.

The Denver area could also experience rain on Monday, although meteorologists predict that weather conditions will warm as the week progresses. Residents are advised to stay updated with local weather forecasts and take necessary precautions when traveling in affected areas.
