Earthquake Hits Near Malibu, Felt in Nearby Cities

MALIBU, CA — An earthquake struck near Malibu Wednesday morning at approximately 9:33 a.m. The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the quake measured 3.2 in magnitude and had an epicenter about 3 miles off the coast.
The quake occurred at a depth of approximately 7.9 miles. Residents from as far away as Camarillo and Monterey Park reported feeling the tremors, according to responses submitted to the U.S. Geological Survey.
