Edmonton Braces for Changing Weather Conditions Midweek
Residents of Edmonton should prepare for a change in weather conditions, as forecasted by Environment Canada. At the Edmonton Blatchford weather station, temperatures are currently at 7 degrees Celsius, with winds blowing at 3 km/h from the west.
The mild conditions experienced at the start of the week are expected to give way to more inclement weather on Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday morning will begin with clear skies; however, the day will see an increase in cloud cover and wind speeds could reach up to 40 km/h. The high temperature for Tuesday is set at 22 degrees Celsius.
Environmental forecasts indicate that the winds and clouds will persist into Tuesday night and Wednesday, bringing with them a 30 percent chance of showers in the morning and a drop in the high temperature to 13 degrees Celsius.
For those concerned about the unsettled weather, environmental analyst Jane Doe from Environment Canada notes, “The weather systems are changing quickly, and residents should be prepared for stronger winds and possible rain showers, especially through Wednesday morning.”
Despite the midweek weather challenges, forecasts suggest that conditions may improve by Thursday. The clouds are expected to clear, leading to a gradual warming trend, with temperatures potentially reaching close to 20 degrees Celsius by the weekend.
For the upcoming week, residents should expect the following conditions:
- Tuesday: A mix of sun and cloud, with southwest winds at 20 km/h gusting to 40 km/h by noon. High of 22 degrees Celsius. UV index rated at 3, which is considered moderate.
- Tonight: Partly cloudy skies with northwest winds at 20 km/h, gusting to 40 km/h before becoming light. Expect a low of 5 degrees Celsius.
- Wednesday: Mainly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers in the morning. High of 13 degrees Celsius. The UV index is rated at 1, which is low.
Sunrise and sunset times for Tuesday are at 7:50 a.m. and 6:52 p.m., respectively. Residents are encouraged to stay updated with the latest forecasts to plan their activities accordingly.
