Ella Langley Announces New Single ‘Choosing Texas’ Set for Release

Durant, Oklahoma – Singer Ella Langley has confirmed that her new single, “Choosing Texas,” will be released on October 17th. The announcement comes after a successful performance at the Choctaw Music Fest, where Langley captivated fans with her music.

This year has been significant for the Alabama native, as she achieved notable success with her hit song “You Look Like You Love Me.” She also took home five ACM Awards in April and received six nominations for the upcoming CMA Awards in November. However, Langley faced a setback when health issues forced her to cancel a month’s worth of shows last summer.

Now healthy and back on tour, Langley shared her excitement about new music during a performance in College Station, Texas, a few weeks ago. “There will be maybe one or two off of it this year,” she said. Her latest track is a collaboration with country music star Miranda Lambert, whom she considers one of her heroes.

Langley described the experience of writing with Lambert at a writer’s retreat last October as a dream come true. “I mean, come on. You just look up to her. She’s a legend; she’s an icon,” Langley said. The song’s inspiration came from a humorous story Lambert shared about an ex, which led to the catchy hook of “Choosing Texas.”

“We were getting comfortable writing together,” Langley explained. “She was telling me some funny story about her…and I said, ‘Well, I’m sure he was like, ‘She’s from Texas, I can tell.’” This sparked a creative moment for both songwriters.

Fans are eager for the release, as “Choosing Texas” will be available on all major streaming platforms. With her successful tour continuing, Langley is set to perform in multiple cities, including Houston and Nashville, in the coming weeks.
