Erin and Sara Foster: The Sisters Behind Netflix’s ‘Nobody Wants This’
Erin and Sara Foster, daughters of renowned music producer David Foster and former model Rebecca Dyer, have been making waves in the entertainment industry for years. Recently, their work has garnered significant attention with the release of Netflix‘s new drama series, ‘Nobody Wants This‘.
Erin Foster, 42, has had a diverse career in television, starting with acting roles in popular shows such as ‘Gilmore Girls,’ ‘CSI,’ and ‘The O.C.,’ which also starred Adam Brody, a cast member in ‘Nobody Wants This.’ She has also worked as a writer on Ryan Murphy‘s ‘The New Normal‘ series and co-created the show ‘Barely Famous‘ with her sister Sara.
‘Nobody Wants This,’ a 10-episode series, is partially inspired by Erin’s real-life love story with her husband Simon Tikhman. The show, described by Erin as a ‘love letter’ to her marriage, began development in May 2023. Simon, a record label owner, and Erin started dating in 2018 after meeting at the gym. They got engaged in 2019 and married on New Year’s Eve in a traditional Jewish ceremony in Nashville. The couple recently welcomed their first child, Noa.
The series reflects the challenges Erin and Simon faced in their relationship due to their different backgrounds. Erin converted to Judaism before their wedding, a theme that is echoed in the show. However, unlike the series, where the character Joanne is hesitant to convert, Erin was more inclined to embrace Judaism.
Besides their work in television, the sisters also run a clothing line called Favorite Daughter and host a podcast titled ‘The World's First Podcast.’ Their collaborative efforts and individual talents have made them notable figures in the entertainment industry.
