San Francisco 49ers Nfl Roster Updates

San Francisco, CA — The San Francisco 49ers made significant roster changes today by signing three veterans and seven draft picks to improve their lineup.

The team announced the signings of offensive lineman Andre Dillard, cornerback Dallis Flowers, and offensive lineman Nicholas Petit-Frere to one-year contracts. The 49ers also signed seven of their 2025 draft picks to four-year deals, while waiving defensive lineman Drake Jackson, offensive lineman Jalen McKenzie, and cornerback Tre Tomlinson due to injuries.

Dillard, a 29-year-old from Woodinville, WA, was drafted 22nd overall by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2019. Over six seasons, he played in 69 games and made 19 starts. In 2024, he appeared in 10 games with the Green Bay Packers.

Flowers, 27, began his NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts in 2022 as an undrafted free agent. He has played in 23 games, primarily as a special teams contributor, and had notable performances in the 2024 season with 9 tackles.

Petit-Frere, also 27, was selected in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans. He made 28 starts in 34 career games, showcasing his potential along the offensive line.

The 49ers drafted 11 players in the recent draft, with seven signing their rookie contracts today. This includes linebacker Nick Martin, who earned First-Team All-Big 12 honors at Oklahoma State, and cornerback Upton Stout from Western Kentucky.

With these roster moves, San Francisco aims to strengthen their offensive line and secondary, key areas of focus heading into the upcoming season. The team now has four unsigned draft picks including their first two defensive linemen.

As the 49ers prepare for the next phase of their offseason, the recent signings and roster adjustments reflect their commitment to building a competitive team.
