Adam Cole has expressed mixed feelings about missing the opportunity to face MJF at the upcoming AEW Full Gear event, but he finds solace in knowing that his close friend Roderick Strong will be stepping into the ring for him. Speaking on the Danny Ocean Show, Cole acknowledged the situation was not his preferred outcome but expressed his support for Strong in the upcoming match.

«Obviously, truth be told, I’m a little bit bummed that I’m not in there with Roddy to teach MJF a lesson,» Cole stated during the show. «But I figure if it can’t be me, my best friend Roderick Strong doing the deed is the next best thing. So definitely a little bit bummed, and I’ll be there. I’ve gotta be there to have a front-row seat and watch Roddy smash MJF,» he continued, expressing a palpable enthusiasm for Strong’s chance at victory.

The match was set after Strong secured the necessary three wins to qualify, a target that Cole himself narrowly missed. MJF, known in the wrestling community as the «Salt of the Earth,» poses a formidable challenge, but Cole believes in Strong’s capabilities.
