Adele has recently conveyed to her fans that she will be taking a prolonged break from music after concluding her Las Vegas residency in November.
At her final performance at the Messe München arena in Germany on August 31, the acclaimed singer expressed her gratitude to her audience. She stated, «I’m not the most comfortable performer, I know that, but I am very f**king good at it,» emphasizing her enjoyment of performing over the past three years, which she noted was the longest stretch of performances in her career.
Adele reflected on her Las Vegas residency, known as «Weekends with Adele,» mentioning that after her upcoming shows, there will be a significant gap before she performs again. «After that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time,» she said, acknowledging the emotional impact of this decision.
In her heartfelt address, she explained the importance of this break. «I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself, and I want to live it now,» she stated. Adele plans to cherish the memories of her performances over the past three years, calling them spectacular and expressing her desire for rest.
On August 9, during one of her shows, Adele announced her engagement to Rich Paul, a sports agent. She humorously responded to a fan’s proposal, highlighting her excitement about this new chapter in her personal life.
Previously married to Simon Konecki, from whom she shares her son Angelo, now 11 years old, Adele has emphasized her intention to focus on her family and personal well-being during this break. She also mentioned that she does not currently have plans for new music and wants to engage in other creative pursuits during her time away from the stage.
Despite the hiatus from music, Adele has indicated a desire to return in the future, stating, «I just don’t think I’m going to write an album for quite some time.» She reassured fans that she intends to eventually produce new music, highlighting her commitment to her art.
