Adele Announces Music Hiatus After Munich Residency
Grammy-winning artist Adele has revealed her plans to take an extended break from music following her upcoming concert residency in
Munich. Speaking with German broadcaster
ZDF, the chart-topping singer expressed her desire to explore other creative avenues after her current performances.
The award-winning star noted that she will be wrapping up her successful Weekends With Adele concert series in
Las Vegas, which has been emotionally draining despite its manageable crowd size at Caesar’s Palace.
Set to conclude in November, the Vegas residency marks Adele’s 90th show, with her upcoming Munich residency offering a grander scale with 74,000 fans expected nightly in a custom-built stadium. This new venture, organized by promoter
Marek Lieberberg, features an immersive «Adele experience» complete with an English pub and other attractions.
The Munich concerts will boast a state-of-the-art video installation, aiming to secure a spot in the
Guinness Book of World Records for the largest outdoor screen, measuring 220m in length.
Despite the incredible success of her recent projects, including her chart-topping album
30 and hit single Easy on Me, Adele expressed a desire to step away from the limelight to regain some anonymity and explore new creative endeavors.
As excitement builds for the upcoming Munich shows, anticipation is high for what Adele has in store for audiences next.
