AEK Athens Seeks Legal Action for Vandalism at OPAP Arena After Europa Conference League Final
Following the conclusion of the UEFA Europa Conference League final at the OPAP Arena in Athens, AEK Athens, the host stadium, is pursuing legal action against the perpetrators responsible for vandalizing the venue.
Despite ongoing disciplinary proceedings by UEFA against the culprits, the club is actively seeking the identities of those involved to initiate its own legal measures.
AEK emphasized that several vandals have brazenly shared their actions on social media, some even disclosing their names, while additional evidence from the stadium’s surveillance system is also being sought after from UEFA.
The clash in the final was between Greece’s Olympiacos and Fiorentina from Italy, marking a significant event in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
AEK Athens is adamant on holding those responsible for the damages to the OPAP Arena accountable, regardless of the UEFA’s disciplinary actions.
The club is determined to access any available information on the perpetrators, including video footage from the stadium’s security system, which has been formally requested from UEFA for further examination.
