African Stars Headline International Break for AFCON Qualifiers

Top African talents participating in the Premier League will represent their respective national teams in the crucial qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Senegal will kick off their qualifying campaign on Friday, 6 September, hosting Burkina Faso at 8pm BST, and will face Burundi in an away match on Monday, 9 September.
Meanwhile, Ghana‘s Thomas Partey is expected to return to Arsenal ahead of the North London derby after the national team’s qualifiers against Angola on Thursday and Niger on the following Monday.
Egypt, the seven-time Africa Cup of Nations winners, will begin their journey against Cape Verde, aiming to bounce back from a disappointing exit in the last tournament.
Cameroon’s André Onana is set to support his nation under the guidance of experienced coach Marc Brys as they embark on their AFCON qualification campaign.
Morocco will face Gabon in their opener, followed by a match against the Central African Republic.
Additionally, Manchester United‘s Amad Diallo has been recalled to the Ivory Coast squad for the first time in 18 months as they look to defend their Africa Cup of Nations title.
