Al Ahly Midfielder Amr El Solia Sidelined with Calf Injury: Setback for Egyptian Champions
Al Ahly, the reigning African and Egyptian champions, have been hit with a setback as one of their key players, Amr El Solia, has been ruled out of action due to a calf injury.
El Solia, known for his impressive performances in the Egyptian Premier League, has been in good form recently, scoring three goals in his last five matches for Al Ahly.
The injury comes at a crucial time for Al Ahly, who are currently placed second on the 2023/24 league standings, trailing leaders Pyramids by eight points but with four matches in hand.
According to the club’s medical team, El Solia underwent an MRI scan which confirmed a second-degree strain in his calf muscle.
Dr. Ahmed Gaballah, the team doctor, stated that El Solia has begun a physical therapy program to recover from the injury, with the aim of returning to full fitness as soon as possible.
Al Ahly is set to face Modern Sport at Cairo Stadium tomorrow evening in a crucial fixture as part of the postponed matches of the seventeenth round of the Premier League.
