Aleska Génesis exited La Casa de los Famosos on Sunday as the sixth finalist of the popular reality show in the United States Hispanic television.

This left her just one day away from the highly anticipated final where only five celebrities will compete for a total of three attractive prizes – suitcases containing $200,000, $100,000, and $50,000 for the first, second, and third places respectively.

After leaving her fellow contestants in La Casa with mixed emotions, the Venezuelan model was welcomed in the gala hall with applause and a recap of the 118 days she spent in the reality show.

The unique elimination process based on public voting in the U.S. and Puerto Rico took place in La Casa’s garden, where podiums were set up for each of the six finalists, all dressed elegantly except for Lupillo who was in his comfortable pajamas.

Nacho Lozano clarified that the order in which the finalists were mentioned had no correlation to their voting percentages from the audience.

Lupillo was the first finalist announced to continue in the competition for the prize money-filled suitcases. Alana, the 20-year-old TV personality, was the next among those saved by the public vote.

Maripily Rivera, an actress, model, and TV host from Puerto Rico, received applause and hugs before joining the other saved contestants in a separate room.

Romeh, a fitness enthusiast who featured in Exatlón Estados Unidos, was jubilant when announced as one of the remaining finalists in the running. The tension mounted when Geraldine was declared to be returning to La Casa, leaving Aleska just short of the final spot.
