Amber Alert Issued for Missing 9-Year-Old in Durham

An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 9-year-old boy named Geon King-Parriett from Durham, North Carolina. The alert was sent out on Thursday evening, sparking concern among the community.

Geon is described as being around 4 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 100 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. At the time he was last seen, Geon was wearing a black hoodie and sweatpants.

The authorities believe he is currently with his biological mother, 33-year-old Mariah King. Mariah is approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs around 140 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing gray sweatpants and a black crop top, with her hair styled in a bun.

According to the Durham Police Department, the pair were last spotted walking on South Benjamine Street around 6 p.m. from a home in the 200 block.

Police are urging anyone who might have information regarding their whereabouts to contact them immediately at 919-475-2511 or dial 911.
