Ana Gasteyer’s Comedic Transformation Takes Over Social Media
Ana Gasteyer, the actress and comedian known for her roles on «Saturday Night Live,» has recently captured the public’s imagination with her humorous transformation into lifestyle guru Martha Stewart. At 57, Gasteyer is celebrated for her impersonations, and in a recent video, she documented her «transformative» journey as she humorously embodied Stewart over several days.
«First day of reading Martha’s new cookbook,» Gasteyer remarked in a video, sitting casually on a yellow couch. The video, which was shared online, captures Gasteyer’s gradual physical and vocal transformation into the 83-year-old Stewart, a process that spanned several days as she humorously depicted it.
During the «three days after reading Martha’s book» update, Gasteyer appeared in a blonde wig and stylish attire, further transforming with a cozy sweater and later a puffer vest, symbolizing Stewart’s signature styles. «You look better than I look, darling,» Stewart commented during her appearance on «The Drew Barrymore Show,» where she was surprised by Gasteyer dressed as her doppelgänger.
The video quickly gained traction, highlighting Gasteyer’s comedic skills, as well as Stewart’s newly released book, «Martha: The Cookbook.» The publication, Stewart’s 100th book, was unveiled last week and features a comprehensive collection of recipes ranging from timeless classics to modern dishes. Stewart’s cookbook emphasizes a personal touch to culinary creations.
On the talk show, host Drew Barrymore engaged both Stewart and Gasteyer in a segment where Stewart candidly shared a past dating experience from her time exploring dating apps for a project. «I went out to dinner with one guy and although everything was arranged nicely, he didn’t leave a tip,» Stewart recounted, drawing sympathy from the audience.
Stewart, an influential figure in lifestyle media, has an extensive bibliography and recently had her life and career chronicled in a Netflix documentary titled «Martha,» released on October 30. This latest cookbook continues her tradition of sharing her culinary expertise and personal stories.
