In a heated moment during the Olympic basketball game, Australian basketball legend Andrew Gaze expressed his frustration over a blatant flop by Serbia‘s Aleksa Avramovic. The incident occurred when Avramovic fell dramatically to the ground after minor shoulder contact from Will Magnay of Australia.

The officials took a long look at the play but decided it didn’t meet the criteria for an ‘act of violence.’ Unfortunately for Avramovic, he was not penalized for his exaggerated fall either.

Gaze didn’t hold back on his thoughts about the incident, calling it ‘an indictment on the game’ during the broadcast. He firmly stated, ‘No, you don’t need that. That’s too much.’ It was clear that he wanted stricter penalties for flopping, suggesting that a technical foul should have been called against Avramovic.

The game saw a promising start for Australia, fueled by stars like Patty Mills and Josh Giddey, who helped the Boomers jump to a 54-42 lead against the more favored Serbian team.

However, Serbia managed to rally in the second half. Avramovic continued to be a controversial figure, even sending Dante Exum flying with an unsportsmanlike foul during the heated matchup.
