Iconic singer Dionne Warwick shared with Fox News about her overwhelming experience at her first encounter with Elvis Presley.

It’s now 60 years since the film «Viva Las Vegas» made its debut, starring Elvis Presley as Lucky Jackson, a race-car driver, who falls in love with Ann-Margret’s character, Rusty Martin, along the way.

Despite being in a relationship with Priscilla Presley at the time, Elvis Presley engaged in a brief on-set romance with Ann-Margret. Their connection was noted to be meaningful by Turner Classic Movies host Ben Mankiewicz.

Ann-Margret reminisced about her time working on the movie, describing it as a joy and one of the happiest moments of her life during an interview with Fox News Digital.

One of the deleted scenes from the film showed Elvis and Ann-Margret singing a duet together, portraying their real-life musical connection.

Director George Sidney reportedly disclosed that Presley felt jealous of the attention Ann-Margret received during filming, leading to certain disputes on set.

The movie was a hit, propelling both Presley and Ann-Margret’s careers to greater heights. Following the success, Ann-Margret ventured into a successful acting career and had a series of residencies in Las Vegas, with Elivs Presley making a special appearance during her first performance in July 1967.

Elvis even penned the song «Viva Las Vegas» for the movie, which later became synonymous with the city, contributing to his enduring influence there.
