Annual National Shrine Event to Offer Support and Healing for the Sick
The National Shrine at Walsingham is gearing up for its annual event aimed at offering support and healing for the sick. Organized by the East Anglia Central Council of the SVP, the event will feature a range of activities focused on spiritual well-being.
Joan Wall, the President of the SVP, has extended a warm invitation to all priests, SVP members, and parishioners who are caring for the sick. The event, scheduled to take place on [Date], will kick off with a picnic at the shrine, followed by Mass at 1:30pm.
Following the Mass, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the anointing of the sick at 3pm, a powerful ritual believed to bring comfort and healing. The event will culminate with Benediction at 4pm, a solemn prayer service.
The event is not exclusive to SVP members, as Joan Wall emphasized the importance of inclusivity. Those supporting individuals who are unwell are especially encouraged to attend and bring their loved ones for a day of prayer and reflection at Walsingham.
To facilitate access for individuals with limited mobility or those using wheelchairs, drop-off points near the shrine will be available before parking. For further details and inquiries, interested individuals can reach out to SVP Membership Support Officer Eldred Willey.
