Apple TV+ Unveils Trailer and Premiere Date for New Comedy Series ‘The Studio’
Apple TV+ has announced the release of the first trailer and the premiere date for its upcoming comedy series, «The Studio.» This Hollywood-based, 10-episode series is set to debut with its first two episodes on March 26, 2025, followed by a new episode each Wednesday until May 21.
Seth Rogen stars in the sitcom as Matt Remick, the newly appointed head of Continental Studios. According to the official logline, «As movies struggle to stay alive and relevant, Matt and his core team of infighting executives battle their insecurities as they wrangle narcissistic artists and craven corporate overlords in the ever-elusive pursuit of making great films. With their power suits masking their never-ending sense of panic, every party, set visit, casting decision, marketing meeting, and award show presents them with an opportunity for glittering success or career-ending catastrophe. As someone who eats, sleeps, and breathes movies, it’s the job Matt’s been pursuing his whole life, and it may very well destroy him.»
In addition to Rogen, the series features an all-star cast, including Catherine O'Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz, and Chase Sui Wonders. The trailer also hints at several major guest stars, among them Bryan Cranston, Martin Scorsese, Charlize Theron, and Ron Howard.
The series is produced by Lionsgate Television for Apple TV+. «The Studio» is the brainchild of creators Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Frida Perez. Rogen and Goldberg are also involved as directors and executive producers through their Point Grey Pictures banner. Other executive producers from Point Grey include James Weaver, Alex McAtee, and Josh Fagen.
