Since his return to Los Angeles, Hammer reported spending around $400 to $500 on gas, indicating the financial strain associated with owning a gas-guzzling truck. He expressed hope that his new hybrid vehicle would alleviate some of these expenses, stating that he anticipated spending only about ten dollars a month on fuel.
