Norwegian alt-pop star AURORA is set to return to Australia in February 2025 with her latest tour, supporting her new album, ‘What Happened To The Heart?’.

AURORA has been a frequent visitor to Australia, having last performed here in March 2023. Her Australian tour kicks off at Fremantle Prison on Thursday, February 6, followed by a show at Sydney‘s Hordern Pavilion on Sunday, February 9, then on to Melbourne‘s Margaret Court Arena on Tuesday, February 11, and finally wrapping up at Brisbane‘s Fortitude Music Hall on Thursday, February 13.

Before heading to Australia, AURORA will be touring across Europe, the UK, and North America. Pre-sale tickets for the Australian dates will go live at 11 AM local time on Thursday, August 15, and general sales start the following day, August 16.

AURORA’s new album, ‘What Happened To The Heart?’, is described by her as her most personal work yet. The album’s title and theme came to her after reading a letter co-written by Indigenous activists called ‘We Are The Earth’. She found inspiration in the letter’s depiction of Earth as “the heart that pulsates within us”.

In a recent interview, AURORA opened up about how the album helped her process feelings of grief, anger, and pain. She explained, “It started out as pain and grief, and then it became anger.” She emphasized the importance of taking time to grieve but also highlighted the need to take action afterward.

AURORA’s journey through her emotions reflects in her music, and she hopes to inspire her listeners to do the same. She has previously released several acclaimed albums, including ‘All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend’, ‘Infections Of A Different Kind’, and ‘The Gods We Can Touch’.
