Australian swimming star Emma McKeon is on the brink of making Olympic history once again. She is set to compete in the women’s 100m butterfly final on Sunday, July 28, while aiming for her 13th Olympic medal.

McKeon recently expanded her medal collection, bringing her total to 12 after being part of the Australian women’s 4x100m freestyle relay team. Another podium finish in the butterfly event will solidify her status as Australia’s most-decorated Olympian.

Fellow Australian swimmer Ariarne Titmus is also making waves in the pool, having just defended her title in the women’s 400m freestyle. She will return to the Paris La Defense Arena for the 200m butterfly but needs to qualify first for a shot at the medal on Monday.

Adding to the excitement, canoeist Jessica Fox is in action as well, competing in the women’s kayak semi-finals. Fox is a seasoned athlete with four Olympic medals under her belt and is eager to secure her fifth.

On the rugby front, the Australian women’s rugby sevens team is gearing up for their match against South Africa, while the Stingers prepare to face Spain. Moving on to soccer, the Australian women’s football team is ready to kick off their campaign on Sunday, as they take on Zambia in what they must win after a shaky start against Germany.

Tennis is also buzzing with excitement as Australian tennis star Alex de Minaur is set for his Olympic debut, going against Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff in the first round of the men’s singles.

While sailing events were scheduled to start on Sunday, they’ve been postponed, leaving fans in anticipation for when they will finally get a chance to see the athletes in action.
